Hartmut Berndt is the LEADER-manager of the LAG Göttinger Land, located in central Germany, in the south of Lower Saxony. He is head of the department for sustainable regional development in the district of Göttingen. As chairman of the German LEADER Association (Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der LEADER Aktionsgruppen, BAG LAG e.V.), he represents the German LAGs in the national and European committees on rural development and is member of the ELARD council since this year. He holds a doctorate from the faculty of Agricultural Science from the Georg-August-University Göttingen.
