Radim Srsen is a mayor of municipality, president of LAG and a representative of the National Network of LAGs of the Czech Republic in ELARD. In 2014-15 he was a president of ELARD, in 2013 and 2016 its vice-president, currently is a member of the ELARD Council. He is also a member of the regional parliament, vice-chairman of the Local Government´s Association of the Czech Republic and a representative of the CR in the European Committee of the Regions. He has Ph.D. in International Political Relations and works as a lecturer and assistant professor at the University of Economics, Prague. Working with LEADER/CLLD since 2007 both as a LAG manager and member he truly believes in this tool and its crucial role in rural development and have had a great opportunity to implement it as an expert in rural development projects in Geogia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recently, he was rapporteur on the own-initiative opinion “The CoR's contribution to the renewed Territorial Agenda, with special emphasis on community-led local development” adopted unanimously on the Plenary Session of the European Committee of the Regions.
